  • The School prospectus and Registration form for all Classes Prep to 9 are available from the School office in the months of June and July for the ensuing year. All applications for admission should be addressed to the Principal so as to reach her by 15th September.

  • Girls (day-scholars only) are admitted to Class Prep at the age of 4 plus.

  • Admission tests for the above classes will be held in October/November.

  • Admissions to various Classes (other than Prep & 3) will depend on the vacancies in each class at the end of the academic year.

  • A student of Class X will not automatically granted admission into Class XI.  Fresh applications will be invited for admission into Class XI.

  • No student will be admitted without the Transfer Certificate obtained from the school last attended. If a student comes from any other Board and/or  a School other than from Uttarakhand State, the Inspector of School of that particular State/ District must countersign the Transfer Certificate.

  • At the time of admission the following documents shall be submitted:

 (i) Latest Progress Report of the student
(ii) Transfer Certificate.

  • A student's Name and Date of Birth as recorded in the Transfer certificate are official and legal and may not be changed by the School authority.

  • Students are required to be present in the School for the full academic  year. Vacancies will not be reserved for latecomers, neither will leave granted before the official closing date. No deduction in fees will made for any periods of absence during the year.

  • Should any student, boarder or day-scholar fail to return to the school after any vacation within three days of the official date of opening, without  certified intimation to the Principal, her name will be struck off from School register.

Leave

  1. A list of holidays is sent to the Parents/Guardians at the beginning of the academic year.

  2. Students are permitted to go out on specified holidays only with those persons whose names are given in the declaration form in the school diary or persons authorized in writing by the parents.

  3. Parents are requested to take special note of the School rules in respect of leave during the mid-term breaks and other holidays.

  4. Parents are requested to ensure that their children return to the School in the specified time after the holidays.

  5. If a boarder student fails to report back to the School by the specified time, she may have to forfeit the next leave due to her, and if this should fail to ensure her reporting punctually in future, she will be required to be withdrawn.

  6. Parents are requested, in the interest of their children -not to visit them on days other than specified in the holiday list to enable the children to adjust to their environment and concentrate on their studies.

  7. Anyone below the age of 25 will not be granted permission to take student out of  School.

  8. In their own interest and safety, parents are required to collect children on holidays themselves. No student will be permitted to go with their younger brothers or sisters studying in other schools in Nainital.

  9. Frequent visits by parents make the children homesick and unsettled. Therefore, parents are requested to co-operate in following the above rules.
Visitors

No visitors are allowed to visit the children during the week. Authorized visitors may be allowed in case of urgency, with the explicit permission of the Principal.

Pocket Money

Every Boarder student is given a specified amount of Pocket Money on Sundays. Parents are advised not to give  extra pocket money in the hands of individual child.
Parents are requested to respect this rule of the School in order to prevent the students from developing undesirable habits and also with a view of minimum differences between children.

Other Points
  1. Repeated acts of misconduct by a student and failure to respond to the disciplinary measures taken by the School authorities will lead to the expulsion of the student concerned  or her withdrawal, being required by the Principal.

  2. The  School cannot accept the responsibility in case of an accident. This applies to all accidents, which may occur in the Science Laboratories or on the games field or on journeys to and from the School.

  3. The age of a student accepted by the  School will be stated in the student's Transfer Certificate.
    No travel arrangements will be made by the School.
MODE OF PAYMENT

Please study the mode of payment of fees carefully and pay accordingly to avoid confusion.

School Fees: 

 To be paid in favour of  ST. MARY'S CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL to Vijaya Bank, Mallital, Nainital

Boarding fees:

To be paid in favour of  ST. MARY'S CONVENT HIGH SCHOOL to State Bank of India, Mallital, Nainital
Payment on account of School and Boarding Fees should be made annually before 10th  February of each year or  in two instalments by the following dates:

1st instalment due before 10th February
2nd instalment due before 20th July.

New Admissions must deposit the 1st instalment of fees at the time of Admission.

A bill in respect of the above fees will be sent out in December. In the event of fees not paid by due date of the instalment, a fine of  Rs.100/- will be charged per week.

If the instalment of fees is not received by due date, the name of the student will be struck off from the School Rolls and re-admission may be granted by the Principal in her discretion on payment of all arrears.

PARENTS MUST MENTION THE BILL NUMBER OF THE STUDENT WHILE PAYING.

No member of the staff is authorized to collect fees from the parents/guardians.

Fee Rules
  1. No reduction in fee is made for the absence of children during broken periods, nor for additional children of the same family.

  2. The tuition fee is to be paid for the term of twelve months. The tuition for the three winter holiday months  will be charged in advance.

This rule holds even if notice of withdrawal for the next term has been  issued at the end of the year. The boarding fee is to be paid for nine months.

  1. If for reason of transfer or other special reasons, a child must be withdrawn during the first term, one  month’s  notice or three months' tuition fee and one month's boarding fee must be paid before the Certificate is issued.

  2. If a student is withdrawn after 31st May, she is required to pay the Boarding and Tuition fee for the whole year.

  3. If withdrawal has to be made at the beginning of the academic year, notice must be given by the end of December. Failing to do this, the School will charge one month's boarding fee and three months' tuition fees in the new term beginning from March.

  7. Payment of  School bills is to be made by Demand Draft.  Bank Drafts must be sent directly to the Bank

PRIVATE ACCOUNT (Individual expenses)

At the opening of the term all parents/guardians must deposit in the Private Account of their daughter, an amount in cash as fixed by the School at the time of  checking in.

This money is to cover the individual expenses of students on items such as extra pocket money, books and stationery, SUPW, Needle work and Hand work materials, dry-cleaning, repair of shoes, postage, cost of short, house -shorts (P.T dress), ordinary medical expenses etc.

The School will send a statement of the Private Account of the student in the month of  December and credit balance if any, will be returned to the student.
